The impact of inflation on Japanese Equities

Japanese equities have outperformed global counterparts this year and are showing a promising trend. After the Japanese economy and equity market have struggled with deflation for more than three decades, they could benefit from the prospect of inflation. We recently interviewed Dan Carter, Investment Manager in the Japanese Equities team at Jupiter Asset Management, to explore overlooked opportunities for equity investors in Japan, the role of inflation, and the monetary policy of the Bank of Japan.
