    LG expands robot business

    LG Electronics expands its robot business into the hotel industry with the introduction of a delivery robot. The robots deliver meals from the kitchen to an outdoor terrace and bring the dishes back to the kitchen. Two of these robots are already in a pilot phase at the Mayfield Hotel in northwest Seoul.

    After the successful test phase of the outdoor robot, LG plans to expand its use to university campuses, residential areas and amusement parks.

    LG also plans to introduce a draught beer robot that will be able to set up a pitcher, pour the beverage ordered and deliver it to the guest.
