Japan and Europe overtook America and China in industrial automation and they are currently the world’s leading suppliers of industrial automation equipment. Both, China and the US, buy a lot of industrial robots. But the US buy not as many as China and China is not yet a major producer.
According to Lightstream Research Japanese manufacturers like Kawasaki or Yaskawa account for at least 60% of the global industrial robot installations. European companies like ABB or Kuka contribute close to 30%.
