China A-Shares: earnings growth in 2021?

Economic activity in China is approaching a normal level again. There are positive signs that profits will gain ground again over the rest of 2020, says Luke Barrs, Head of the Fundamental Equity Client Portfolio Management Team, EMEA, Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Also in 2021, profits could rise again significantly, he told us in our latest video interview. Estimates of earnings growth for China A-shares this year are at 9 percent, compared to minus 8 and minus 20 percent for emerging and developed markets.
