Will Asia outperform in 2023?

Asia’s economy looks set to recover in 2023. “This is especially true for China, where we see growth accelerating as authorities soften the zero-Covid policy and introduce easing property measures,” writes Mirae Asset Global Investments’ Chief Investment Officer Rahul Chadha in the EM Outlook 2023.

For the rest of Asia ex-China, the investment management firm expects headwinds from external demand but sees domestic demand growing when financial conditions ease.

The asset manager is optimistic about emerging Asian equities, with China’s reopening as one of the “most significant upside opportunities yet to transpire”.
